Item Description

A highly unusual and rare two-generation rhodochrosite obelisk from the famous 1970s-80s finds at the Potosi Mine. The lustrous, strikingly striated outer skin of the sharply terminated scalenohedron is pastel-pink. The broken base reveals the beautiful gemmy cherry-red color of the interior. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, this is a significant old specimen!. A fascinating and uncommon Santa Eulalia rhodo style from the W.S. Logan Rhodochrosite Collection. valued $750-950
