Item Description

Do not be fooled, this is NOT from Argentina! I legitimately did a double take when I first saw it. Here we have a very hard to find Rhodochrosite specimen from the fairly obscure Burgin Mine in Utah. The piece consists of small crystallized pinkish-brown Rhodochrosite crystals which are sitting a notably banded reddish-pink and soft pink colored massive Rhodo matrix. When viewed from the side, it's incredibly similar to specimens from the Catamarca Province of Argentina! If you're a fan of Rhodochrosite or minerals of Utah, you need one of these in your collection, as they are essentially impossible to find on the market today. From the worldwide Rhodochrosite collection of Dr. William S. Logan (Specimen #X102-5).
