Item Description

From the classic Leonard Mine in Butte, Montana, here we have a lovely old time Rhodochrosite specimen. The piece features classic, sharp, rhombic crystals of baby pink Rhodochrosite measuring up to 1.0 cm long on massive Rhodochrosite matrix. The piece is nearly solid Rhodochrosite. Despite some roughness, several of the Rhodos are undamaged, but the piece is not damage free. This is the kind of piece to add to a worldwide Rhodochrosite collection to check a box on that "rare locality" checklist. Beautiful material and fun to view up close.
