Item Description

Rhodochrosite specimens are RARE from this historic old polymetallic ore producing district, known since the 1500s. Today limestone is the predominant mining product from this quarry. The red arrow points toward clusters of translucent, glassy, pastel-pink micro rhombs. Ex W.S. Logan Collection # X131-5. Not pretty to look at, but remains a VERY RARE rhodochrosite from Sweden.
