Rarely crystallized material for the locale - pretty, pastel-pink, flattened, rhodochrosite rhombs form a showy and excellent mounded specimen from Argentina. One side of the mound is preferentially dusted with manganese or iron oxides, which add character. The contacted back and base reveal the glassy concentric and colorful growth bands characteristic of these stalactites. Classic older material from this locale.
