Item Description

Gemmy, lustrous, pretty rose-red rhodochrosite rhombs with lightly frosted faces are attractively clustered atop the mixed sulfide and quartz matrix on this showy and excellent specimen from the famed Sweet Home Mine. One large rhomb near the base of the cluster is very nearly pristine, with just a bit of edge rubbing and is 1.1 cm on the diagonal. Most of the other crystals at the top have cleaved faces. The golden pyrite and metallic-gray tetrahedrite are classic compliments.
