Item Description

Sweet Home Rhodochrosites are beloved around the world as they are simply some of, if not the best crystallized examples of the species extant. Their beauty is ehnanced when they are associated with another colorful mineral, such as Fluorite. This miniature sized specimen features a robut, sharp, lustrous, gorgeous pinkish-red color rhomb of Rhodochrosite associated with very gemmy purple cubic Fluorite crystals on a few sides. Admitedly, there is a bit of roughness around the periphery, but looking closely you'll see that the underside of the Rhodo is actually crystallized (though cleaved on the back), and even though several of the Fluorite crystals are contacted, you can still clearly see many undamaged cubic faces. The color combination along with the fact that the Rhodo crystal GLOWS with color when backlit, easily make up for the roughness on the specimen. If you've always wanted a good sized crystal of thie world-famous material for a great price, don't pass this one up as it is an excellent representation of these iconic specimens. Priced in our inventory at $3,500.
