Item Description

The Zanett tunnel is named after the family that owns the Grizzly Bear mine. Rhodochrosite specimens from this mine are among some of the most sought after San Juan Rhodochrosites by Colorado collectors. This specimen hosts small bright pink rhombohedrons of Rhodochrosite which are associated with a beautiful "spray" of GEM quality, very sharp, lustrous, colorless scepter Quartz crystals! Certainly one of the most aesthetic and attractive Rhodo/Quartz thumbnails that I have seen from not only the Grizzly Bear mine, but virtually any locality in the San Juans of Colorado. From the thumbnail collection of Tresa Kosnar (now Tresa Foster). The piece dates back to the 1980s.
