Rhodolite Garnets are some of the most vivid and richly colored gem examples of any member of the Garnet family. Until material started coming out of Tanzania, it wasn't terribly common to find good gem Rhodolites on the market. The Tanzanian stones are well-known and beloved for strong pink and red hues, and sometimes larger sized stones. The gems have some of the most saturated red colors I've seen for Rhodolite or any other Garnet. This gem is very attractive with a rich reddish-pink color and is only very very slightly included. The cut on this stone is a "Round Brilliant" cut. A great fiery stone from has been the premier area in the world for the material.
