Rhodonite

Item Description

Rich cherry-red, lustrous rhodonite crystals are embedded on three sides of the sculptural small cabinet matrix on this very rich and aesthetic piece from the Morro da Mina mine. The impressive crystals reach 3.0 cm. The crystals on the richest side are mostly cleaved, with the isolated 2.3 cm crystal being terminated, as are the two crystals on the other side. A very fine and rich multi-sided bright red matrix specimen from the locale.
