Rhodonite xl (Ken Roberts Coll.)

Item Description

A rare and unusually well-crystallized tabular rhodonite crystal from the late 2000s finds at this well-known mine. Specimens from here are mostly cleavages extracted from the skarn deposit. The rich cherry-red, translucent crystal has mostly euhedral faces. The two primary faces are all there. A dinged end and a lightly contacted end are noted, but have negligible impact to the very high quality of this very colorful and excellent rarity. Ex Ken Roberts Collection and valued at $750-1000.
