Item Description

A beautiful, 3-dimensional gold matrix specimen with beautiful small, sparkling crystalline gold veins enclosed in massive quartz. This I snot a nugget. It is crystallized gold within a nuggety shape. The piece masses 59 grams, or just shy of 1.9 ounces troy weight. In a piece of this size, since quartz matrix these are found in weighs so little compared to the gold itself, one can assume that the specimen weight is mostly due to the gold enclosed within. we estimate the weight is at least 80% by gold, conservatively, so as not to disappoint (yielding about 1.5 ounces gold here). A surprising locality piece collected by the former owner, a gold collector who sold his whole collection to a friend of mine recently. I DO believe the locality, and the piece comes with the former label as well. Due to the price volatility of gold bullion, and the fact this can be melted down, this auction item will not be considered sold unless the bid tops the gold spot value, on the day sold.
