Item Description
A series of undulating, velvety botryoids of beautiful, blue-green Rosasite wind there way around this limonite matrix. The largest botryoid measures 2.5 cm across, and the sculptural, yet organic, nature of the Rosasite rather reminds me of the famous Bean sculpture in Chicago. This is a lovely and aesthetic example of a fairly rare carbonate species. It is unusual for the isolation of the rosasite groups in contrastin gmatrix, whereas most are a solid carpet of rosasite. Special, aesthetic, from the finds around 2015 or so. Valued $500
