Rosasite (ex Willard Wulff Collection)

Item Description

A lovely old time Rosasite specimen from the famous Ojuela Mine. The piece is hosts beautiful velvety blue-green radiating aggregates of Rosasite with associated Hemimorphite sitting on gossan matrix. This specimen comes from the collection of Willard W. Wulff (1904-1998) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, a prominent figure and collector of Colorado minerals. Wulff was one of the founding members of the Colorado Springs Mineralogical Society in 1936. The piece comes mounted in a "Perky" box with a label from Wulff that says the piece was acquired in 1971.
