Item Description

Rosasite is a less common, but highly desirable zinc, copper carbonate from the famous Mina Ojuela. Pretty teal-blue rosasite botryoids richly invest the tiered vugs of this striking specimen. The sculptural gossan matrix is very sturdy. Both vugs and adjacent seams and smaller vugs are richly sprinkled with sparkly, gem-like, colorless, calcite rhombs, which beautifully compliment the rosasite. Even a side and the sawed back hold more crystal-lined vugs as a bonus! A rich, colorful, example of the species from a NEW FIND at this noted locale (found December, 2009).
