Roselite on Cobaltian Calcite (rare 1980s find)

Calcite with this rich, intense, magenta color due to inclusions within as well as its perch on underlaying and brilliantly colored roselite only came out in limited quantities in the mid-1980s. This small cabinet piece that has the killer color and lustrous wet look consisting of a series of wonderful rounded crystalline knobs of roselite with glistening crystal "tips" of sharp calcites all over them. The tightly grouped, deep magenta clusters of roselite average about 1 cm each across their tops with a secondary growth of at least two dozen, transparent, colorless to very pale pink, flattened Calcite rhombs to 5 mm scattered on the piece for added character and aesthetics. The piece is in excellent condition with some minor contacting around the periphery. A super colorful Moroccan specimen that is truly unique, and from a rare find of the 1980s that has not been replicated since!
