Here we have an excellent rough and cut set featuring a fine quality, "Round Brilliant" cut Ruby gem with a vibrant saturated reddish-pink color from Mogok, Myanmar (Burma) which is paired with a classic hexagonal prismatic crystal (rough) of a strong reddish-pink hue from Winza in Dodoma Region of Tanzania. The gem is translucent for all intents and purposes, but good quality overall locale. The crystal is a textbook, doubly-terminated, sharp, lustrous gemmy example of the Winza Rubies. It should be noted that the gem in this set has not been treated in anyway whatsoever, unlike some commercial Ruby gems you'll find on the market, which have been glass-filled to improve their clarity. A really attractive, desirable set for your collection.
