Splendent, sharp, wine-red, rutile crystals are aesthetically scattered atop the matrix knob on this outstanding specimen from Graves Mountain. The crystals exhibit textbook rutile twinning and reach 1.8 cm. Super trivial edgewear is noted on a couple of crystals, but is barely noticeable. Classic, older material from this famous locale. Valued $400. Ex Howard Belsky Collection. Howard started as a mineral dealer at age 13 in 1972, became a sophisticated dealer and died tragically at age 28 in 1987. His collection recently became available to us through his family.
