Item Description

A rarely seen specimen of the hydrated iron phosphate Santabarbaraite from the Kerchenskoe deposit in Ukraine - the most famous locality for the species. Interestingly, Saint Barbara is the patron saint of miners. The specimen features dark reddish-brown tabular crystals, which might be pseudomorphs after Vivianite, but I'm not 100% certain. The largest crystal meausres 1.2 cm long. Great quality overall and very hard to find on the market.
