Sapphires is the gem variety of Corundum, found in virtually every color of the rainbow (except red when it is then referred to as Ruby). Additionally, Sapphires are some of the most popular, durable, colorful and highly sought after gems on the planet, as they one of the few true precious gems out there. This stone is from Sri Lanka and has a beautiful satured golden color. The stone is only very very slightly included and has a standard "Oval" cut.
