Item Description

Superb grouping of seven excellent Scapolite crystals from the Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan. These Scapolites are GEMMY, highy lustrous, and striated, with several being nicely terminated. The color varies from an attractive, clear purple to totally colorless, and this pleasant coloration is complemented by a divine, orange fluorescence. The largest crystal is 2.7 cm, but big and small thay all add to the quality of this cabinet specimen. You often see pics of great, gem crystals of Scapolite, but how many of them are ON MATRIX!? From the collection of East Coast collector, George Elling, specializing in historic minerals of the East Coast and minerals from the development of old European mineralogy.
