Item Description

A classic association specimen from the famous Bear Lake locality in Quebec featuring many sharp, prismatic, well-formed white crystals of Scapolite (specifically Meionite) measuring up to 2.1 cm long with one predominant, very sharp, well-formed, jet-black, "wedge"-shaped Titanite crystal measuring 8 mm. There are some additional partial Titanite crystals on the piece, but the main Titanite is the focus. Some of the Meionite crystals are contacted, but the majority of them are terminated. These specimens are few and far between these days, so if you've always wanted one, be sure to pick this one up. From the collection of Chester ("Chet") S.
