Scapolite (rare colorless gem)

Item Description

This is a beautiful and rarely seen Scapolite gem from Afghanistan. The rarity of this stone lies in the fact that Scapolites are found in either yellow or purple gems, but this one is notably colorless! Technically Scapolite is not a species, and the species names are Meionite and Marialite but in the gem word they're almost always referred to as Scapolite. This has an "Oval Brilliant" cut. A rare stone collector can certainly appreciate the rarity of a piece like this. Very slight inclusions, but how often does one see colorless Scapolite on the market?
