Scheelite

Item Description

A sculptural and showy display specimen of fine quality, sharp, well-formed, pseudo-octahedral crystals of Scheelite measuring up to 4.0 cm with minor attached Fluorite and Quartz. The color is a lovely golden-yellow hue, and not an undesirable muddy brown hue. Like most Scheelites, this piece shows great fluorescence under UV light. The piece is surely from the Yaogangxian Mine, though the dealer labels have it erroneously coming from Leiping. The piece is in excellent condition, with only one trivial nick near the top, but nearly 100% damage free. The arrangement and beautiful composition of the piece make it a very worthwhile and fine quality miniature of this now hard to find material. This piece easily came out around 15 years ago, and this particular style of Scheelite is not commonly seen from Yaogangxian.
