Item Description

A RARE large combination scheelite specimen from early 1990s finds at the noted Xianghuapu Mine, famous for gem green fluorite specimens. A 1.7 cm, sharp, gemmy, grayish-brown tetragonal crystal with multiple terminations and nifty color-zoning is jaunitly set on the massive green fluorite matrix dramatically covered with glassy milky quartz points. The scheelite fluoresces bright white under SW UV light and the fluorite purple under LW UV light. Rare combination material from the Francesco Bedogne Collection # 1781. Dr. Bedogne, 1942-2012, was a well-known Italian mineralogist, prolific author, field collector and collector.
