Item Description
Rich amber color on this impressive large compound scheelite crystal with multiple terminations from famed Mt. Xuebaoding. The glassy, lustrous, translucent pseudo-hexagonal tetragonal crystal has beautiful and desirable gemmy/translucent terminations. Pearlescent clusters of muscovite plates on both sides are fine complements and typical accessories. Hefty, rich tungsten ore for the size at 525 grams or 1.2 pounds mass. Ghostly white SW UV fluorescence. This is classic older material from Mt Xuebaoding considered the world's best locality for scheelite and no longer being produced in any quantity.
