Schorl on Smoky Quartz

A predominant, glistening, jet-black Schorl Tourmaline crystal measuring 2.3 cm along with a pair of smaller Schorl are beautifully set atop sharp, gemmy Smoky Quartz crystals on a slab of matrix to create this showy display specimen. The main Schorl is complete and undamaged, save one tiny "flea bite" on one corner. One of the two smaller Schorls is contacted on the left edge, while the other is in excellent condition on the display side. The textbook, smooth lustrous faces along with the excellent luster really stand out in a way that is rarely seen in Schorl. These Schorls are some of the finest examples of the species from any world locality in terms of size, quality and aesthetics. Valued at $1,200.
