Item Description

A classic specimen of beautiful, jet-black, raditiating, thin prismatic crystals of Schorl Tourmaline free of matrix from Cornwall. This material is seldom available on the market, but if you collect Cornish minerals or worldwide Tourmalines, this a MUST HAVE as they are nearly impossible to obtain. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#7270) and also part of the collection of Lord Calvert. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
