Spectacular intergrown jackstraw sprays of glassy, pearlescent, transparent to translucent scolecite prism from recent finds in Nashik. STUNNING. The dramatic crystals reach 7.0 cm. Scolecite is one of the major Zeolite Group species found in the basaltic Traprock deposits of Maharashtra. Ex Richard Rossi Collection. Richard is a Senior Fellow of the Mineralogical Record. Compositionally, this is one of the very finest and most artistic 360-degree scolecite crystal clusters we have seen. An outstanding example.
