Item Description

Mineral specimens from this tungsten and tin deposit (closed in 1984) are very rare and are extremely rare on the market. Scintillating, gemmy and lustrous, sharply terminated, sea-green, scorodite microcrystals festoon a well-placed vug in starkly contrasting albite from this very uncommon Portugeuse localtiy - the Bejanca Mine. The nifty 2.7 cm vug in the lower center is lined with teminated quartz crystals and hosts the largest scorodite, at 3 mm. Extremely rare in the quality and richness from this locale. The scorodites look purple/lavender in the photos, but are sea-green. Ex Howard Belsky Collection. Valued $400-500
