Item Description

A very showy and highly unusual two-sided specimen of a sculptural, vuggy crust of translucent slag lined with scintillating, gemmy, amber to reddish-orange, secondary zincite crystals. The dead-end circular cave is a nifty feature on this striking piece. This weird, but very beautiful specimen was recovered from a zinc smelter in Pennsylvania and is probably old-time material. Very seldom available. Ex Jaime Bird Collection.
