Item Description

A beautiful and classic salmon colored Serandite crystal group with minor white Albite and black Aegirine from the famous locality at Mont Saint-Hilaire. Good quality with sharp, lustrous faces, and hard to find on the market now. The main crystal is doubly-terminated and measures 3.5 cm. It looks like it might be partially pseudomorphed along the prism faces on the side. Several crystals are contacted an incomplete, but the main crystal is in great shape. It is now difficult to obtain specimens from this locality as collecting has been limited / reduced in recent years, so if you collect minerals from this world famous prolific locality, don't miss out on this attractive miniature. From the collection of renowned mineral dealer, Charlie Key. Charlie is arguably the most sucessful dealer of the second half of the 20th century, along with being the namesake for TWO mineral species (Keyite and Ludlockite).
