Item Description

A 1.4 cm, striking, sharp, doubly terminated carrollite octahedron is jauntily set on the sculptural miniature calcite matrix on this showy and excellent combination from a New Find. The splendent silver-metallic crystal has the superb luster, that is characteristic of this rare Cu-Co-Ni sulfosalt. Matrix carrollites are far less common, and the quality of this one is excellent. Complete all-around. The bit of bruising on one prism face is certainly only a modest detraction. Here is your chance to obtain a fine and unusual miniature matrix carrollite at a very reasonable price point. It has several fine display views. Ex Rob Sielecki Collection.
