sharp Carrollite on Calcite (Zukowski Coll.)

Item Description

Two, elegant, sharp, interpenetrating, silvery-bright, carrollite octaehdrons are aesthetically set on calcite rhombs on this very showy and excellent matrix specimen from one of the famous mines in Katanga. The crystal cluster is 1.4 x 1.1 cm. One octo has very gentle bruising on its tip but overall in great shape. Good matrix carrollites, such as this, are not very common - usually they are in massive, ugly calcite or rock. Ex Zukowski Collection.
