Item Description

A sharp, 1.5 x 1.5 x 1.3 cm, splendent silver-metallic carrollite octahedron is jauntily set atop the unusual mottled pink and gray matrix (not calcite). The sharp form of the crystal is noteworthy and the superb luster is characteristic of this rare Cu-Co-Ni sulfosalt. Matrix carrollites are far less common, and the quality of this one is excellent. Complete all-around and essentially pristine. A contact near the termination, where another crystal once lay, has no damage per se and is out-of-sight in several display views. Here is your chance to obtain a fine miniature matrix carrollite at a very reasonable price point.
