Item Description

A great specimen of this rare copper silicate featuring a beautiful sky blue, radiating, sphere of somewhat velvety Shattuckite. The piece is not broken per se, but there is some incomplete growth on the side, where presumably it grew against either additional Shattuckite in the pocket, or simply the pocket wall itself. This specimen was found in 2014, and represents some of the finest Shattuckite ever found from any world locality. Please note this is NOT from Namibia, and was analyzed / confirmed at the University of Arizona - although it most likely does contain a small amount of Plancheite and possibly Ajoite. If you're a collector of secondary copper species, don't miss out on this eye-catching, displayable, miniature display specimen. Rarely does one encounter larger sized "balls" of this hard to find species, especially with such attractive form and color.
