Item Description

Sharp, gemmy, tabular, hexagonal, reddish-orange, crystals of the rare hydrated sulfate, shigaite, are richly peppered on the sparkly, bladed, botryoidal, rhodochrosite matrix. The crystals reach 2 mm. This piece comes from a small find and is highly representative of both species. Old material from the early 1980s and seldom available.
