Item Description

A rare, very unusual and showy pseudomorph from this well-known Guanajuato silver mine, from where siderite is very rare. Sparkling, spherical aggregates of rust-brown, siderite blades have totally pseudomorphed a large, tabular calcite rhomb. Sprinkled on both sides and especially the very nifty corsage at the base, are lustrous, translucent, two-toned, calcite scalenohedrons (some doubly terminated). Complete all-around and pristine. A unique, older pseudo from this mine. Ex Consie Prince and Dave Stoudt Collections.
