Item Description

A showy and unusual Mexican pseudomorph from the Dave Stoudt Mexico Collection. Highly lustrous, disk-like, rust-brown siderite rhombs have replaced the dogtooth calcite scalenohedrons. A nifty feature are the tiny secondary calcite scalenohedrons peppered mostly along the edges of the backside of the crust. This fine, very clean piece has only modest periphery wear and is from the famous La Sirena Mine at Guanajuato. Rare in this quality and form. A significant find, as even the mine level is known.
