Siderite (rough and cut set)

Item Description

A "Modified Brilliant Cut Corner Rectangle" cut gem of golden Siderite from Bolivia (probably from near Colavi) is paired up with a specimen featuring modified hexagonal crystals of golden Siderite associated with lustrous blue-green Apatite from Linopolis, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The gemstone has one notable inclusion on the side, but it's really gemmy with good color when strongly lit. Siderite is not what a lot of people think about when it comes to rough and cut sets, and this would be a great one to add to a rough and cut suite.
