Item Description

Densely intergrown, translucent, rich honey-brown siderite rhombs form striking larger compound rhombs and are aesthetically set on sulfide-rich matrix on this impressive 360-degree specimen from the famous Julcani Mine and the Art Soregaroli Collection. The sharp blocky rhombs have matte luster, while the rounded rhombs of the compound crystals have a nifty shimmering luster. A pristine, unusual and most excellent siderite from the locale. Dr. Art Soregaroli had a noted Peruvian collection from his many trips there, and coauthored the encylcopedic book MINERALS OF PERU. valued $400
