Item Description

This specimen features, very rare, well-formed tan color Sigloite crystals on matrix. Sigloite forms as an alteration of Paravauxite, and the finest crystals are found at the type locality at Siglo XX. The largest crystal on this piece measures 8 mm. I have photographed the crystals under the microscope to better illustrate their quality. This piece is a great example of the prismatic, sheaf-like parallel growths for which the species is known. If you're a rare mineral collector, be sure to pick up this fine quality specimen of a very hard to find species.
