Item Description

A very fine, very rich and rare silver specimen from this less well-known Cobalt mine. The striking, very dense cluster of stacked, silver crysytals with a distinct spinel-twinned form looks like rows of kernels on a corn cob! The starkly contrasting dolomite matrix is a super accent. This silver mine was discovered in 1904 and was last operated in 1957 (MINDAT). Highly sculptural and excellent material from the American Museum and Eugene Carmichael Collections. Very rich ore. The mass is 157 grams.
