Silver ''Leaf'' on matrix

A showy and aesthetic display specimen of these classic Silvers from the famed Imiter Mine. They are quite similar to the pieces from the San Martin Mine in Mexico that came out in the early 2000s. These remarkable "leaf" specimens are rarer than their wire Silver counterparts in my experience from the Imiter Mine, and this one is a gorgeous and showy piece featuring a good sized flattened sculptural "leaf" of Silver dramatically flaring off the underlying host rock matrix. The silver itself is not just a massive "leaf" but actually shows microcrystalline features. The "leaf" has a classic patina, with a bit of more brightly colored Silver on the back. Matrix "leaves" are rare from Imiter, and to find such a dramatic and highly displayable specimen is remarkably uncommon. It should be noted that the mercury content of these silvers actually qualifies them as Kongsbergite - a variety of silver with about 5% mercury - though this specific specimen has not been analyzed.
