Item Description

Curled, curved and straight silver wires with a rich patina, to about 8 mm, are scattered on the undulating matrix of solid bornite with pyrite ore. The bornite has classic blue/purple iridescence. This showy and excellent combination piece is from the ancient and well-known San Martin Mine, in operation since about 1555! Over 450 years. High quality material from the Wes Parker Collection, as even the mine level is known.
