Item Description

Sharp, lustrous to sub-metallic skutterudite crystals, to 1.4 cm, are aesthetically clustered atop the two-sided small cabinet tapered wedge on this rich and showy cobalt arsenside specimen from the famous Gowganda area. Skutterudite specimens are rare from the Gowganda area compared to the adjacent Cobalt area of this famed silver mining region. Broken crystals on both sides show crusts of reddish-purple, probably erythrite, adding color and interest. Rare sharp crystals from the locale.
