Item Description

A UNIQUE and OLD-TIME piece of California mineral ephemera! This is a sliced and polished slab of a chalcedony filled geode from the "Spruce Street nodule" of North Berkeley. The hollow center, very interestingly, has chalcedony casts after calcite scalenohedrons. This is a California rarity. Certainly, there are not many slices around of this "Spruce Street nodule", considering its size. Anyways, an interesting mineral specimen from an area too urbanized, today, to go and find another. Ex Kessler and Mullane Collections.
