Item Description

Leadville is well known for its Silver deposits, but the secondary ore minerals from the Sherman mine are beloved by Colorado collectors. Here we have a great secondary ore specimen from this classic locality. This piece features a nice coverage of greenish-blue "rice-grain" Smithsonite crystals on matrix. I know its not what you typically expect from a Colorado specimen, and this material is rare from this mine. This specimen is close to 30 years old as it was collected circa 1980.
