A wonderful cabinet display specimen from Choix featuring botryoidal Smithsonite aggregates measuring up to 2.5 cm across which ranges in color from a soft blue-green on the surface to a very rich / saturated blue-green hue underneath on matrix. The darker areas of the specimen GLOW with color when backlit! The piece has some damage around the periphery where it was removed from the pocket, but it's in very good shape on the front / display side. Very attractive in person and that intense color is rarely seen in Choix specimens. Valued at $750. The piece comes to us from a prominent Midwest collection that we acquired over the summer.
