Item Description

Pretty two-toned lavender bubbly smithsonite botryoids with translucent, juicy waxy luster cover both sides of the thin matrix crust on impressive and sculptural large mitten-shaped specimen from this noted locale. The matrix on one side adds character. This is fine older material, from the 1970s or 80s, from the El Refugio Mine at Choix. Classic material from this mined out locale, that was documented in a 2011 Mineralogical Record Special Issue.
